Yung Berg fired from ‘Love & Hip Hop’ after alleged assault


Yung Berg has been booted off the VH1 show after roughing up his girlfriend in a fight, reports TMZ. The rapper-turned-reality TV star, was arrested at the Gershwin Hotel early Wednesday for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, Masika Tucker, who  also stars on the VH1 series.


During the fight, Berg, is said to have grabbed Masika by the throat, dragged her across a hotel room, then punched her in the face. The website reports that the altercation occurred shortly after the rapper’s credit card was declined.

The cable network released a statement disassociating themselves from the rapper turned reality star.

"Based on the severity of the allegations against Yung Berg, VH1 is terminating its relationship with him in connection with Love & Hip Hop Hollywood, effective immediately.
Yung Berg was arrested on November 5th and charged with criminal obstruction of breathing in connection with an assault on fellow cast member Masika Tucker.
The arrest took place in a New York hotel several hours after the taping of the reunion special for Love & Hip Hop Hollywood had wrapped."

TMZ says Tucker told police, “He hit me and dragged me by my hair. He pinned me to the wall and grabbed my throat.”
Berg was charged with three assault charges and one harassment charge. His initial obstruction of breathing charge has been dropped.
